Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a typical web site project take?

This depends on many factors, not the least of which is communication. Netavation strives to maintain the highest level of contact with our clients throughout the entire site creation process. Provided that the client responds in a timely manner with the information and/or materials required for Netavation to complete their project, a site can be done quite rapidly. If the client doesn't respond to questions or doesn't find the time to gather the materials required for completion, this can cause delays in the project.

It isn't really possible to give an exact timeframe for a typical site, because no site is 'typical'.

What do you provide for your clients?
Netavation provides anything the client may need. Whether it is a ground-up build of a new site, or a rework of an existing site, we can provide or assist in:
  • E-Commerce applications
  • Database Systems and Data Mining
  • Social Networking Systems
  • Search Engine Optimization and Marketing
  • PCI Complience and Site Security
  • Hosting Aquisition and Setup
  • Domain Name Aquisitions
  • Custom Graphics and Site Layouts
  • Multimedia Capable Sites
  • Customer and Product Tracking Systems
  • Mobile Web Design
  • Data Storage and Delivery Systems
  • ..much more
How much does a web site cost?
This depends on what our clients need. It's impossible to put a price tag, or even an estimate, on a site without first knowing everything the site owner wants the site to do, provide, display and/or deliver to their visitors.
Netavation, however, is usually found to be the least expensive option for any project.

Do I have to come to your office in order to get your assistance?
Absolutely not. This is the age of the internet, and the internet is all that you'll need to work with us. A phone helps too, but we've managed to create and finalize entire projects based on email communications alone.

How does payment work for your services?
The typical project we do requires a 50% up-front payment of the total contract value. Once that has been paid, we get to work. The balance is paid in two installments of 25% of the total contract value. The first installment is due at a specified juncture in the contract, which is decided upon when the contract is created. The final payment is made when the site is put online.

Do you assist your clients in email marketing?
If our clients are marketing to subscribed or current customers, we can assist in finding systems to allow for bulk email delivery. If your question is in relation to what is understood to be 'spam' or 'unsolicited email', we do not provide service for those projects.
We hate spam, you hate spam, everyone hates spam.

How long have you been building web sites?
We started building web sites when 'www' first appeared. Before most people even had the ability to have an internet connection in their homes, we were already busy building the first of the web sites to be available. Those sites have long since become obsolete, or have been replaced with updated versions of themselves, but our team has been at this from the beginning.
Our first web site was put online in 1997.
